There are three state recognized tribes in NJ: the Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape Tribe, the Powhatan Renape Tribe and the Ramapough Lenape Indian Nation.
Highlighting the Native American youth of Bridgeton, New Jersey, Dance With Me: The Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape Indians of New Jersey reveals this small Tribe's struggles and hopes for its future. The film explores the importance of the Christian Church, recent successes in securing Tribal lands, and the need for Tribal youth to get active to hold on to what is theirs.
